Jonathan is passionate about people development and long term coaching support. Being a graduate of St Andrews University and bringing MBA experience, focusing on change management, strategy, development and financial planning and entrepreneurship Jonathan has a wealth of understanding of business leadership, strategic overview and how individuals engage with business strategy.
Having held senior roles in the leisure and hospitality sector, working at Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries, Marstons plc and Peach Pubs in addition to undertaking interim MD roles this built the foundation for exciting ventures into entrepreneurship. Successfully launching two UK hospitality businesses his experience and expertise covers a variety of areas, from business start up, startegy development and people and he brings this experience to his day to day coaching.

He has more than 30 years commercial experience having held director and senior management positions in PLC and private equity companies including The Boots Group, W.H Smith, CVC Capital (Halfords), Halfords PLC and Santia consulting. Kevin has experience across different business units and sectors and has led operational management teams progressing growth agendas, strategic projects, operational improvement, mergers & harmonisation, turnaround, restructuring and an IPO of a FTSE 250 company. Kevin enjoys working with different companies and cultures across the country and has developed initiatives with the likes of B&Q, Screwfix, Rolls-Royce, JCB and Merlin Entertainments, he has honed approaches that commutes his learning to a wide range of businesses large and small. Kevin understands the need to align thinking and activities cross- functionally and the importance of engaging the people at the sharp end. His extensive “hands on” experience is complemented by a General Management degree gained at Ashridge Management College (The City University) where he studied strategic planning, finance, HR, IT, marketing and operations. Kevin’s fundamental approach is to review, develop and align teams to strategic direction.

As a coach Gaye has a passion to develop individual leaders to progress and to get the best return for the business and its people. Gaye formed Next Steps Consulting in 2003 following a successful career in large PLC and private equity organisations spanning 25 years. Her corporate roles included national HR operations, policy development, HR strategy and management development at Marks and Spencer, The Boots Group and Halfords PLC. Gaye has led large scale HR teams across the UK addressing restructure, performance management and individual and team development, she has managed restructure, TUPE, floatations and mergers and acquisitions, working with private company and PLC boards’. Gaye has honed her coaching skills having attended Ashridge Management College and worked alongside Sir John Whitmore’s team to improve individual and team performance through coaching excellence. Gaye has successfully guided Next Steps to be a highly respected one to one coaching and outplacement businesses working with executive and senior teams from sectors including Telecommunications, Higher Education, Automotive, Financial Services, Retail, Technical outsourcing, Manufacturing and SME start ups. At Next Steps Gaye has worked with many organisations including Sky Digital, Homeserve, Peacocks, Alexon, Tesco, Vodafone, Headlam, Zurich, Anne Summers, Rigby Group, Halfords, NHS, numerous Universities, Lander Automotive and Shop direct. Her approach is professional and is well endorsed by Next Steps clients. She holds IPD qualifications, lectured on CIPD masters in HR and is a leadership coach and entrepreneurial mentor alongside the Institute of Directors.
